Aloha Friday Photo: A view from the grounds of Mauna Lani Resort

Mahalo to Kinga Fekete from Manchester, England for this beautiful Aloha Friday Photo. Kinga tells us that this photograph was taken from the grounds of the Mauna Lani Resort on Hawaii’s Massive Island.

From this photograph, you may see the sting of one of many many brackish fishponds surrounded by palm timber. Off within the distance, you may see one among Hawaii Island’s tall, volcanic mountains.

I’m undecided which mountain this one is, however my guess can be Mauna Kea. Whether it is Mauna Kea, it’s the tallest mountain in all of Hawaii. Mauna Kea stands at 13,803 ft (4,207 meters) above sea degree.

As you may inform from Kinga’s photograph, the grounds on the Mauna Lani Resort are beautiful. If you’re visiting the Massive Island, however not staying inside the resort, yow will discover free, public parking at Kalahuipua’a Historic Park and observe the quick path in direction of the fishponds and ocean.  Alongside the best way, you may search for petroglyphs. And, if you happen to occur to be on this space round lunch or meal time, Napua, which is one among our favorite Big Island restaurants, is right here, too.

Pleased Aloha Friday!
