Celeb Cruises chief government, Lisa Lutoff-Perlo, has introduced captain Kate McCue, the primary American feminine cruise ship captain, will take the helm of Celeb Past.
The third ship in its Edge Collection, the ship will debut subsequent spring.
For McCue, the seed to be a captain was planted following a cruise the then-12-year-old took along with her household.
She advised her father that she needed to be a cruise director when she grew up.
His recommendation to her was that she may do something she needed, together with captaining the ship
Since that point captain McCue has been a pioneer and trailblazer, breaking the gender barrier in 2015 when Lutoff-Perlo named her to be the primary – and nonetheless solely – American feminine to captain a significant cruise ship, Celeb Summit.
She moved to Celeb Equinox earlier than being appointed to helm Celeb Edge in September 2019.
