This statue within the photograph is of King Kamehameha I. He was the primary king to unite the Hawaiian Islands in 1795. There are a number of statues of King Kamehameha within the Hawaiian Islands. This King Kamehameha statue in Lillian’s photograph stands close to the doorway of the attractive Grand Wailea lodge in Maui. This resort has many wonderful statues and artistic endeavors.
