Half 5 of my South Pacific Journey.
After an evening in an airport lodge in Fiji, I jet off to the Kingdom of Tonga. The capital, Nuku’alofa is a sleepy city with a good smattering of palm timber, foraging pigs and piglets and loads of (pleasant) stray canines. There’s additionally some huge fruit bats.
My full day in Tonga occurred to be a Sunday, a day the place all the pieces closes apart from the church buildings. So I go to one and take heed to some singing earlier than catching a ferry over to Pangaimotu Island.
