The Bowfin first went into motion within the Pacific on December 7, 1942, precisely one 12 months after the assault on Pearl Harbor. She was nicknamed the “Pearl Harbor Avenger.” As we speak, the Bowfin rests in Pearl Harbor and welcomes visitors in for a tour.
Bruce was sort sufficient to share his expertise as he visited Pearl Harbor and snapped this photograph.

What a value that was paid for the liberty we get pleasure from right this moment! I can’t start to explain the feelings I felt that day. Some day sooner or later, Lord prepared, we each want to return.”
It’s common to have the same emotional expertise while you go to Pearl Harbor. I tear up each time I go to.
Tomorrow, December seventh, is Pearl Harbor Remembrance Day. With solemness, we replicate on that day “which can dwell in infamy” as President Roosevelt proclaimed.
