This weekend, we had been heading again to the trailhead after a weekend of backpacking and stumbled upon two moose who had been strolling down the path. For Katherine, this was her first moose encounter, so it was a bit nerve wracking. However we stayed calm, obtained off the path, gave the moose loads of area, and waited till the moose moved on.
