After temporary Kona airport closure, check your flights to/from KOA for potential disruptions

Ellison Onizuka Kona Worldwide Airport (KOA)

Yesterday afternoon, flights out and in of Kona (KOA) on Hawaii’s Huge Island have been halted resulting from a crack within the runway. The cracks are believed to have been attributable to latest heavy rain.

As of this morning, runway repairs are full and flights are again in progress. If you’re flying in or out of KOA within the subsequent few days, the Hawaii Tourism Authority recommends that you simply test together with your airline for potential disruptions.
