An interactive art work of human-sized bowling pins bearing pictures of ladies who’re survivors of human trafficking has been launched on the Expo 2020 Oasis Hub within the Jubilee Zone.
The occasion was hosted by the Abu Dhabi Heart for Sheltering and Humanitarian Care – Ewaa, which is affiliated with Abu Dhabi’s Division of Neighborhood Growth.
It was attended by Mugheer Khamis Al Khaili, head of the division of group growth in Abu Dhabi; Sarah Shuhail, director common of Abu Dhabi Heart for Sheltering and Humanitarian Care – Ewaa; and Bushra Al Mulla, govt director of the group growth sector on the Division of Neighborhood Growth (DCD) in Abu Dhabi.
The art work, known as ‘Bowling Pins,’ options audio commentary and phrases that narrate the victims’ emotions in addition to their power and perseverance.
The ladies talk about life after surviving their ordeal and the way the centre has supported them.
The bowling pins are a metaphor for the ladies’s experiences, depicting how they had been knocked down however picked themselves up with the assistance of the centre and its advocates.
Artist Jennifer Simon labored with 20 human trafficking survivors – girls and kids – for greater than two years to plan, beautify and embroider the pins.
Lebanese artist, Dana Jouni, donated the design of the clear exterior construction that protects the skittles.
The art work is sponsored by Abu Dhabi Industrial Financial institution, LVMH Perfumes and cosmetics and Worldwide Golden Group.
